Jason is bringing a real treat along to the market this week. It is now the season for his delicately flavoured certified organic asparagus and his scrummy organic rhubarb, fantastic for the traditional crumble or why not try a chutney?
Brockmans Farm also have a large variety of other fruit and vegetables, ranging from potatoes to salad leaves. Many of their products are home grown on their farm in Kent and they have a great selection of certified organic produce.

Clive and Deborah specialise in rare breed lamb & pork, Dexter Beef, duck Eggs and free range eggs. All of their items are prepared and packaged up on their farm and then sold direct at venues such as The Sidings so you can guarantee the freshest meat. Clive is extremely knowledgeable about his produce too so if you are unsure as to the best cut of meat for you…just ask. They have a large range of sausages which are created by their daughter Zoe so you will not find them on the shelves of any supermarket, these include beef, green chilli and ale, spiced pork and butternut squash, pork, sage and onion and pork with Maple syrup … which are a real hit with children! You can also get the best cuts of fillet beef, venison steaks, rabbit and for the more adventurous cook, you can even get wild squirrel!
Dilek will be making her first appearance at The Sidings this week cooking up authentic Turkish delacacies. Here is just a little taster as to what you can expect:
Baklava – filo pastry crammed with walnut and pistachio and served in a light sugar syrup.
Kisir – a salad made with fine wheat or quinoa and enriched with fresh vegetables, lemon juice, olive oil, herbs and spices
Lentil Kofte – made with red lentils, fine wheat and fresh herbs and spices
Aubergine Salad – smoked aubergine with smoked red pepper, yoghurt and garlic
Gözleme – this is a traditional Turkish pastry that is filled with seasoned spicy potatoes or cheese.
So as you can see, you’ll be spoilt for choice at The Sidings this week so make sure you pay us a visit.
