This weekend pick up some great products from some of your firm favourites at The Sidings N21.  Maria from Maria’s Tea Cakes has been busy in her kitchen baking up some delicious new cakes ready for summer, Themptation are always providing alternative products that are good for you with a hemp twist and Celtic Bakers are always on hand to provide you with your breads for the week ahead. This Weekend we also have a great new musician for you, come along and treat your ears as well as your stomach!

Maria’s Tea Cakes

You’ll be spoilt for choice this weekend, Maria has been working hard in her kitchen to come up with the lightest, fluffiest Victoria sponge cake you’ll have ever tasted!  Shaped like a heart (because you’re going to love it!) it is filled with lashings of cream and lemon curd then topped with another squidge of cream and a juicy plump raspberry.  It is then dusted with icing sugar and ready for you to enjoy on Sunday.  Maria is also preparing Lime and Coconut Crunch Cake, Almond Tarts and Lavender Biscuits which are also new additions and taste divine!

Themptation always have a good variety of produce.  Hemp is extremely good for you as it has the ability to help reduce high blood pressure and speed your metabolism, contains the perfect ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9 for human health and is a total source of protein.  Featuring on the Themptation stall this weekend is toasted Hemp Seeds –  These whole seeds are gently toasted and lightly seasoned to create a popcorn like snack with a savoury crunch. Great to snack on but can also be used as a salad topping or baked into bread.  They come in two different flavours:-

Original- Seasoned with Salt, Pepper and paprika.

Chilli- A gentle kick to this chilli variety with dried chilli flakes and cayenne pepper.

They also have a tasty Seed & Oat Bar which goes perfectly with a cup of hemp tea! These tasty bars are packed full of energy with oats and five different types of seeds. Enjoy them for breakfast, in between meals or while climbing a mountain! The oats are ground with five types of seeds into a rough flour so less butter and honey is needed to bind them. They also add hemp milk to the mixture to make them healthier! These bars come in three different flavours; Seed Original, White chocolate (29%) with dried cranberry or dark chocolate (74%) with dried apricot.

Celtic Bakers

Celtic Bakers are a favourite with all our customers on a Sunday.  They always have a great variety of Sourdoughs, Roll, Baguettes and a tasty range of sweet goodies too including Egg Custards and Brownies. This weekend pick up one of their Artisan Baguettes – Their long fermented baguette is beautifully crusty and rustic on the outside with a flavoursome, airy crumb on the inside.  Available in 300g baguette and 100g demi-baguette. Or if you’re looking for something to have as part of your dinner platter or cheese board you could try their Fig and fennel dinner rolls – The delicious combination of sharp fennel seed and sweet fig works beautifully with their wheaten sourdough and the Pecan and Cranberry Dinner Rolls are the perfect balance of fruit and nuts. Mouth-watering when eaten with a cheese board.

Grab some amazing foods this weekend and be entertained by our brand new musician!
