This Sunday is the last market before Christmas so make sure you come along and stock up on everything you’ll need to create the perfect festive feast.  With a wide range of fabulous foods and foodie gifts The Sidings is the place to be this Sunday.  This weekend is also your last chance to place your orders for your Christmas meats and cakes.

Marsh Farm produce Limited

You can do a one stop shop with Marsh Produce this Sunday and grab everything you could need for your dinner.  They have a fabulous selection of vegetables including the seasonal Brussel sprout, carrots and parsnips as well as a wide range of meats, including joints, poultry and accompanying items like pigs in blankets needed for your seasonal dinners.  Don’t forget you can still place your order for your turkeys and any other meats this Sunday for collection on Thursday 23rd December from The Sidings.

Also available are figs, dates and nut selections.

To save you some time in preparing dinners from scratch in the hustle and bustle before Christmas, why not pick up some delicious pies from Dees as they have done all the hard work for you.  Delicious homemade pies filled with only the finest of ingredients as its Christmas check out their new selection:-

Christmas Dinner Pie, delicious short crust pastry encasing Turkey, sausage, bacon, sage and onion, cranberry sauce and gravy….a real favourite! or grab a Steak & mulled wine, Chicken, Stilton and honey roasted ham or Roasted root veg with cranberry.

This is your last chance to pick up some fabulously festive chocolate from Hill St.  Choose from Santa, Reindeers or Santa hats all filled with moulded Christmas shaped chocolates and wafer crisps chocolate pearls or you can buy a chocolate tree made from either 40% milk chocolate or 66% dark, sliced caramelised almonds, orange confit and sultanas.

Also available are boxes of chocolates in two different sizes containing a scrumptious selection which includes salted caramel, hazelnut and praline wafer crisp, coffee, lime ganache and lots more or check out their Artisan Hampers which come in two different varieties.

Maria is taking orders for Christmas cakes, mince pies or any of her other homemade bakes this Sunday which will be ready to collect from The Sidings on Thursday 22nd December all ready for Christmas.  Maria has an array of other Christmas goodies all available to purchase this weekend, including decorated gingerbread houses, individual or large pantones as well as her popular selection of brownies, marshmallow pops and her tasty savoury selection.

Sample Wakelins Christmas Fruit Fusion, a complete mixture of everything Christmassy! brewed like a normal tea but contains no caffeine so its perfect for kids as well as adults and it can also be used to create a delicious mulled wine.  Wakelins will also have a selection of coffee hampers, a variety of loose leaf fruit infusions and some fabulous aprons made from coffee sacks…..great gift ideas for any coffee lover!

Iberian Deli have a wide selection of iberico hams, great quality olive oil, cooking chorizos and this Sunday they might just have some delicious Pate for you to purchase.

Pick up some Sliced Acorn-fed Ibérico Pork Loin, the Loin is seasoned with sea salt, paprika from Vera and natural garlic or Sliced Acorn-Fed Ibérico Salchichón. Similar to salami and made of Acorn-Fed Ibérico meat, it is made of minced lean meat and fat from the same animal, black peppercorn and a selection spices perfect to go with a cheese board and olives over the festive period.

Mary is back at The Sidings this Sunday so that you can pick up some homemade jams, jellies and honey to make breakfast time delicious on Christmas morning.  Mary creates a fantastic range of jams and jellies from locally grown crab apples, blackberries, quinces and medlars and other fruit sourced locally and her partner John, has a number of apiary sites so the honey that is on their market stall is from the nearest apiary to The Sidings and if you speak to John you will see how knowledgeable he is about his product.

Pick up some fresh olives from Yellow Sunshine this weekend, a perfect match with some Iberico ham, sourdough and cheese!  Choose from a variety of olives that are stuffed, marinated garlic, sundried tomatoes or stuffed vine leaves.

Davina’s Spice Kitchen

Take a pit stop at Davina’s Spice Kitchen this Sunday and buy one of her sell out samosas, choose from vegetable or a lamb and potato roll.  To warm you up this weekend Davina will also be bringing a deliciously fragrant Chicken Tikka Masala served with fluffy rice as well as her popular Aloo Tikkis which is a lightly spiced potato cake, perfect for non meat eaters or if you fancy something light to eat.

Whilst shopping at The Sidings this Sunday make sure you fill up on some delicious Spanish foods courtesy of Papa Paella.  For those of you that get to the market early you can enjoy a delicious Spanish breakfast or feast upon some colourful Paella for lunch, with a meaty or veggie version and a smaller dish for the kids!
