This Bank Holiday come along to The Sidings N21 and check out our saucy new trader as well as stocking up on a whole load of delicious, top quality foods. Tony from La Sambrosa Continental has a couple of great feature cheeses as well as something a little bit different, Boureki are cooking some amazing authentic Cypriot dishes and Iberian Deli return with their award winning wares. So forget about stuffy supermarkets………….stroll down to The Sidings and spend the morning in the sunshine among friends!

Tony from La Sambrosa has the greatest variety of cheese around and this weekend he would like to draw your attention to a couple of tasty cheeses available on Sunday. Tony offers 7 different types of goats cheese , 2 English, 5 Spanish and one is Swedish. This Sunday check out ‘Montesinos’, its a really creamy, unpasteurised goats cheese from Lamancha. It’s 25% fat free and 7 months old. If goats cheese is not for you, you could try some ‘Epoisses’ which is again, deliciously creamy and very similar to Brie. Both are delicious and definitely worth sampling this weekend.

Tony also has something a little unusual this weekend ………….. fabulously large tuna chunks in brine direct from Spain. They are sold in a huge tin but once transferred to a plastic container and covered in a little oil, it will keep for months! Perfect for you to use as and when over a period of time.

Boureki

Come along and pick up some authentic Cypriot foods this Weekend. Sophie from Boureki hand makes from scratch all of the tasty delicacies features on her stall. Why not try some Paklava? A selection of nuts and spices encased in a delicious filo pastry and then drizzled in syrup. If you prefer something savoury, try her savoury pitas. She has two varieties, one filled with butternut squash and one packed with lamb, chilli and pine nuts. You could also pick up an aubergine and halloumi pie………….layers of roasted aubergine and halloumi with olive oil and then sandwiched with between some traditional village pastry.

Brand new for this weekend Sophie will also be cooking up Makarouniaa. A traditional dish of macaroni layered with mince, parsley, spices and mint. It is then topped with a béchamel sauce, sprinkled with halloumi and baked.

Iberian Deli are also back at The Sidings this weekend selling their award winning charcuterie, Olive Oil, Gazpacho, Tortilla and Pastel de Nata!

That Blue Patch

We have some fantastic local talent providing your entertainment this Sunday.  That Blue Patch are made up of husband and wife, Ruth and Dave.  They are a semi-acoustic duo featuring Guitar, Voice, Saxophone, Melodica and Percussion.  They play cover versions of a variety of songs from the 1960s to the present day and their current lists come from The Blues, Vintage Jazz, Country and more contemporary popular pieces.
