James from Wakelins of Hitchin has some fabulous new coffees available this weekend.  Choose from a Guatemalam Maragogype which is 3X the size of regular Arabica or an Ugandan 100% Robusta which is a medium light coffee and tastes delicious!  Also available are some bone china tea cup sets and other eclectic items which are exclusive from Wakelins. James will be providing samples of his excellent range of coffees this Sunday so come along and give them a try!

Oil and Vinegar

Available from Oil and Vinegar this weekend why not try their popular truffle or nut oils?  Here are just a couple they will be stocking:-

Olive Oil with White Truffle – The oil is notable for its ethereal white truffle aroma and flavor, turning the most ordinary dishes into something special. Can only be used cold as a finishing touch to your dishes and tastes wonderful with salads, beef carpaccio with pine nuts, eggs, pasta, macaroni with cheese, risotto and roast potatoes. The oil combines well with Balsamico di Modena IGP, Sherry vinegar and Lavender Vinegar.  This olive oil is made by a family owned company in a small village in Liguria, which won a ‘Great Taste Gold Award 2012’ .

Pistachio Nut Oil – The rich pistachio flavour combines excellently with balsamic vinegar, sherry vinegar, red or white wine vinegar, to make a tasty vinaigrette for salads. To preserve the flavour, it is best used cold and added to a dish at the last moment. Delicious with grilled meat or fish, beef bourguignon, pasta with cheese, or as a dip for bread.  Also good when making cakes and pastries, especially in combination with apples or pears.

Hook and Sons

Whatever deal they have, it will definitely be worth checking out as their produce is super fresh and super delicious!
